While there are open green spaces like Terryland Forest Park, a secure spot for dogs to safely socialise is hard to come by, which is a bit of a pity for a city with such a visible dog-owning community.

However, the compact and busy nature of the city centre can be challenging for dogs who aren’t comfortable with crowds, especially during peak tourist season or festivals. While many green areas are dog-friendly, it’s worth noting the varying rules for beaches and conservation areas, which can change depending on the season.
